How to Restart Windows Remotely using Remote Desktop

There are situations when you need to restart a Windows machine remotely while logged in using Remote Desktop (Software installation, Spyware removal, etc.) The point is that the Restart/Shutdown option is not available so here is the how to restart the machine. It’s actually simple…

To shut down a remote computer when you are using Remote Desktop, press CTRL+ALT+END, and then click Shutdown. Or, use the shutdown command at a command prompt. You will get a small window with a drop-down  Here you can choose to Shutdown or Restart the machine. That’s it.
